CLEAN GREEN POWER MACHINE
Keeping the bike clean will be essential. Having your bike look ‘spic and span’ will go a long way in the operation and output of the bike, and who likes the look of a mud-clad ride? After all, XOVR bikes are all about performance but looking good on the road too!
XOVR has a streamlined design to ensure maintenance is not a back-breaking job, but dust, dirt, grease, and water can build up. And who wants to limit the output of this impressive machine?
Washing your bike needs to be done mindfully. To get you started, you will need the following:
- Vacuum with low pressure to suck up the muck in charging ports
- Hose, with a low pressure
- Bucket
- Cleaning cloth
- Soft-bristled brush
- Cleaning products
Remember:
- Make sure all electrical components are sealed
- All systems are off
- The battery does not need to be removed before washing
- Keep any high-pressure spray away from the hub motor wheel rubber seals
- Also, keep water away from the USB and 12V ports, screen and control areas
Away you go:
Rinse it with clean water, add soap to a soft cloth or brush, and away you go. Give it another rinse to wash away soap and residue, then dry with a micro-fibre cleaning cloth. Apply lubricant to any moving parts and that’s it.
Congratulations, you now have a clean bike!
There is a few don’ts and when it comes to washing your bike:
- Don’t use a power hose
- Don’t wash your bike whilst on charge
- Never submerge your bike in water

QUICK ELECTRIC BIKE WASHING FAQ
- How often should I wash my electronic motorbike?
If you have hit the ground, especially off-roading, washing your bike afterwards is recommended. Cleaning a bike after an exhilarating, muddy ride like this will stop dirt from baking onto the frame and moving parts. A weekly wash will do if you use your bike for urban commutes. - Can I wash my bike without damaging the electric parts?
Do not submerge any part of your bike in water. A damp cloth or soft-bristled brush to clean hard-to-reach places is adequate. Wipe down the framework and all parts using gentle motions.
For dirt or grease that has found its way into the chain, a mild solution of dish soap and water or a mild degreaser paired with a soft brush should lift the dirt. Ensure you rinse afterwards and add a drop of lubricant to guarantee maximum output on your next journey. - Can I wash or rinse my bike with a hose?
Of course, you can use a regular low-pressure garden hose to rinse your bike. Avoid the use of a power washer or pressure hose. Remember to dry your bike off using a micro-fibre cloth.
